IT Systems Engineer - Lenzburg

Our products and solutions solve complex problems using very innovative component based technology including internet protocols and SMS and MMS messaging.

As an IT Systems Engineer at 724 Solutions your primary responsibilities will be the ongoing maintenance and upgrade of our core infrastructure which will include maintaining and supporting our heterogeneous system environments as well as dealing with end user issues when they arise.

The ideal candidate will be a self starter that has the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a demanding environment. Due to the nature of our business you will sometimes be expected to work irregular hours in order to perform a task that cannot be completed during regular working time.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

  • At least 3 years experience supporting Windows, Linux and Solaris server environments as well as end users issues in a fast paced environment.
  • User Account Management and Administration within an NT/200x environment
  • Solid experience with building, configuring, maintaining, patching and troubleshooting SUN Servers
  • Web Server Administration on IIS
  • JavaScript and ASP knowledge an asset Asset Management. You will work and assist to keep all asset information up to date.
  • Experience with SUN, Intel and AMD server architectures.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking and associated protocols such as UDP, TCP, IPSEC, GRE etc.
  • Solid understanding and administration of various Name Servers.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments. Any experience with updating and migrating from previous versions of exchange a definite asset.
  • Experience administering backup solutions, experience with Legato or Net Backup solutions preferred.
  • Router and Switch management an asset.
  • Experience managing firewalls a definite asset, experience with CISCO Switches and Routers and asset.
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing Techniques an asset.
  • Experience with SAN solutions a definite asset especially EMC and HP offerings.
  • Server Efficiency and Stability monitoring.
  • Any Scripting Knowledge would be a definite asset.
  • Ability to work in English.
